Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) is offering its Active RFID tag which conveys data via progressive UHF radio frequency technology. It enables users to collect highly accurate, real-time data for identification, tracking and tracing, and localization.

This high performance and power-efficient active RFID tag, model 137004, features an optional LED and an optional sensor for monitoring temperature. It also features fast identification speed, non-line-of-sight data transmission and long communications distance. This tag provides a large memory capacity of 8000 bytes. Also, it enables large numbers of tags to be identified simultaneously.

This RFID tag provides a read distance of up to 100 feet from a handheld device or up to 300 feet from a fixed interrogator. Its outstanding anti-collision multi-tag-handling algorithm provides clear communication fortracking of assets or people. It has an IP65 protection rating allowing it to be used in challenging locations. In addition, this active RFID tag provides users with a diverse selection of options and housing designs depending on intended use.

This active RFID tag belongs to GAO's family of RFID Semi-Passive Tags. This line also includes other featured products which are well suited for different needs. For example, Active RFID UHF Beacon Tag which is a cost-effective long-range active RFID tag appropriate for tracking mobile assets, controlling access or online inventory, and localizing of assets or personnel in designated areas and UHF Semi-passive Temperature Logger Tag which is compliant to the EPC Class1 Gen 2/ISO18000-6C standards and can be used with most Gen 2 UHF RFID readers. UHF Long-Range Active RFID Tag and RFID Position Markers in this line are also special and reliable.
