Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has launched its UHF GPRS data transmission terminal which has a highly reliable 32 bit ARM7-CPU and operating system. It is commonly used in automatic electric power systems, industrial monitoring, traffic management, atmospheric monitoring or pipeline network monitoring.

This UHF GPRS data transmission terminal, model 491030, has an EMC anti-jamming design and is commonly used in unattended device operation, remote monitoring, remote data acquisition, and remote AMR. It operates at a frequency of 850 MHz / 900 MHz / 1800 MHz / 1900 MHz which makes it suitable for use globally. The data transmission terminal is equipped with a built-in watchdog chip providing multiple reset mechanisms to achieve industrial security. It uses advanced and strict data communication protocols with data correction and encryption functions for protection from package loss.

This GPRS data terminal unit offers three operating modes: DTU (default), Modem, and SMS Modem. DTU and SMS Modem switches through both user configuration software and IO port. It is compatible with the AT command standard when set to Modem mode. This GPRS / GSM modem is a plug and play device and features automatic IP registry, IO switching value function and remote operation including remote modification of DTU parameters. It also offers extended commands, special APN, fixed IP, and DDNS. Moreover, its reliable design ensures high quality data transmission over a wide temperature range, vibration and electromagnetic conditions.

This UHF GPRS data transmission terminal belongs to GAO's family of RFID Peripherals.
