. It has been created specifically for several applications that share common requirements for tag support, protocol, performance, and security. It is an ideal solution for anti-counterfeiting, patron management, asset management, access control and item-level inventory management.

This tiny ETSI compliant embedded UHF RFID reader, model 716001, operates over a frequency range of 862 to 955 MHz. It is a high performance, secure, power-efficient solution-embeddable in a broad range of products. It features clone and tamper protection, high security with encryption, digital signature and key derivation. It is compliant with various protocols such as EPC C1G1, EPC C1G2 / ISO 18000-6C, ISO 18000-6B, and ISO 18000-6A5. Using a 6 dBi linearly polarized antenna, it reads up to 50 tags per second at a maximum read distance of 3.5 m. This embedded RFID reader module provides selectable interfaces such as TTL, SPI, USB, and I2C for data exchange.

Based on the same Advanced Universal Reader Architecture (AURA), the reader offers customers investment protection through a flexible, forward-compatible platform that will support future tag protocols, security features, and customized enhancements. In addition, it has a low power consumption of 5 mA in sleep mode and 170 mA in idle mode. The output power of this reader module is adjustable from10 to 27 dBm at 0.1 dB steps with an accuracy of 1 dBm.
