Understanding Body Language

Empowering yourself to learn body language

Do you think that equipping yourself with theempowering knowledge of comprehending body language helps in your daily conversation or critical business meeting? Yes, it definitely will.

First, let me share with you the difference between the body language and verbal language. In our daily life, we are always prone to lies-white or otherwise, deliberately misrepresented information, secreted emotion, hidden motives at work, home and etc.

Most people cannot sense poisoned facts concealed with beautiful words and accompanied with an impressive vocal tone. Concealing lies with words is easy and even a child can do it. To think about all these, do you realize how great it will be to understand body language?

Whybody language?

It is because verbal language can hide the truth but body language cannot. The body interprets the feeling of a person that cannot be hidden, for example, if one person tells you that he is not scared, but at the same, his body is shaking with fear, do you believe him? Of course not, remember this, the body reveals more than emotion.

Let's look at some common body language and what they imply.

Eye

1. Widen pupils mean that the person has great interest in what you said or in you.

2. Rapid blink send a warning signal to you that the person has shown some resistance on what you have said.

Head

1. Head supported on the head indicate boredom

2. Nodding means interest and agreement on what you have said which is a good sign

3. If one is looking around, it means "Let me go"

Hand

1. When one speaks with his hand tucked in the pocket, it indicates that he had hidden something and holding it back.

2. When one person placed his hand to cover the mouth or nose, it means he is trying to conceal a lie.

3. A firm handshake conveys strength and confidence while a weak one conveys otherwise.

How interesting it will be to understand more about body language? I will share more in the future posts.
