In order to have any success with your internet marketing strategy you have to start
with the end in mind.
What do I mean?
Well the whole point of getting online, correct me if Im wrong, is to drive traffic to your
site so you can make sales...
In everything you do in your online business, you should always ask yourself, the question,
is this going to get me closer to reaching the end I invision?
If it doesn't, get rid of it!
Internet marketing strategy is like playing risk, you have to always be on your toes and think
ahead of what your prospect is going to do and be able to pave them a good road that
leads them to the action you want them to take- A Sale!
Here are some crucial steps to create your own internet marketing plan.
1. Know who you are selling to...
It might sound basic or even boring but you would be suprised how many online marketers
don't do this!
Internet marketing strategy starts with doing research and gathering solid data about your
prospects. Just like in traditional business!
Think about it, if you don't know who they are, how they act, how they think, what they like,
what they hate... How Are You Going To Pave Them That Road That Will Lead Them
To Your "End In Mind?"
2. Build Your Website According To Your Hard Data.
Your website should have all the primary motivation factors you found out about your
prospects earlier.
After taking care of that you should worry about the technical stuff:
-Putting Keywords In Your Meta-Tags
-Your Tracking Systems
-Traffic & Conversion Tools
Make sure that it's search engine friendly and doesn't have lots of flash- Remember you
want the search engines to find it as easily as possible.
Also make sure that your site is friendly to user's, this will make the relationship process
with them much much easier.
3. Constantly Increase Traffic
Its all about exposure with your prospects...You Have To Get In-Front Of Them!
One of my favorite place's to start with my students is Pay Per Click Marketing. I say this
because it has all the elements of skill involved with internet marketing and advertising.
And the search engines have great tools to show you how to run successful campaigns.
But to be ultimely successful in advertising online you have to test and tweak consistently.
And always be willing to take initiative in improving your exposure.
If you can include these three elements in your internet marketing strategy you will have all
the success you will ever want.
