While Lung cancer is primarily associated with the inhalation of tobacco or other toxic smoke, asbestos can create types of cancer, both directly in the lungs, or in the pleural or peritoneal lining but one of the things that is coming out in research relating to these types of cancer is that they are even appearing in those related to people that work with asbestos and is believed to be due to the dust they brought home on their clothes. It's critical in these cases to get clear advice and support to discuss what you can do about these types of cancer, especially if you've been exposed via indirect contact.
