Color Correction

A lot of HDTV products claims that they have color correction feature added in their HDTV product, but only half of them are telling the truth. And some of them will just tell you that they do have this feature so customers like you will buy them. You should first look at the HDTVs remote control and see if it has an option to modify the three primary colors which are; red, blue and yellow not green. There are many publicity stunts which some companies are doing nowadays, and one of their particular doings, is that they will display all their available HDTVs in public and adjust their picture and color specifications to their desired will, making their least salable product looking like the best amongst the rest for you to buy them, be very wary when engaging with these kinds of promotions.

Frames per Minute

An HDTV with a high refresh rate of 120 Hertz or Hz means it can display a 120 frames per minute, making fast moving scenes look so much smoother or others call it anti blur effect. A higher frame rate is ideal for watching sports or any fast moving scenes. This added feature that has a refresh rate of a 120Hz will show you fast scenes evenly compared to lower refresh rates of 60Hz, although the difference will not be noticeable in smaller and medium size HDTV screens. And there are these HDTVs that comes in a much higher refresh rates (240Hz) but that is just too much, you wont be able to notice the difference, a 120Hz refresh rates is just the ideal.

Ports and External Drives

An HDTV usually goes with these kinds of extra added features. It is not surprising to have these features in your HDTV. But the more available ports the HDTV offers, the better, just make sure you can connect all your suitable electronic devices to your HDTV. You can do a lot more with HDTVs with a lot of ports available in its components, compared to HDTVs with limited ports, so make sure you have this on your mind. Make sure to take a good look at the sides, front and back of the HDTV to see how many available slots it has.

Three Dimensional viewing

A lot of HDTVs has this feature; a three dimensional viewing angle. From 2D to 3D viewing, but of course you would need the following to experience 3D performance; a 3D Blu-ray player to play movies that must be in 3D format, and 3D viewing glasses. But you really wouldnt want this feature added to your HDTV because not only will you add a lot of money into it but you would also have to buy a new 3D Blu-ray player to watch your movies that must be in 3D format. Although this feature is not that bad and will give you 3D viewing experience, it is still in its early form and it is still constantly being upgraded.

Every now and then a new and special feature is continually being added to the latest HDTV models. But remember that some of the extra added features are not really needed, and you wont even notice the changes they have made in what they claim, newest and latest feature. Avoid having too much unnecessary features in your HDTV, for it can sometimes cause problems.
