Unlock Your Samsung Infuse 4g
The Samsung Infuse 4G went on sale in the US in May 2011
. It has been sold through AT&T, and was the third mobile phone launched for AT&T's HSDPA+ line-up. In July 2011 the phone went on sale in Canada through the Rogers network. The Infuse 4G can operate on 2G Networks (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G/4G Networks (HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100).
Some major characteristics on this phone include an ARM Cortex A8 1.2 Ghz processor chip, 16 Gb of storage space (with a microSD card slot which can support up to 32 Gb of additional data). It measures 132 x 71 x 9 millimeters, weighs 139 grams, has a 4.5 in . (~207 ppi pixel density) Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touch screen with 16M colors, an 8 Mp autofocus LED flash camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v3.0, micro usb v2.0, Gps navigation, and works on the Android v2.2 (Froyo) Os.
If you purchased this cellphone and decided to swap service provider, or maybe you are vacationing and want to use the phone with another simcard, you'll have to unlock the phone. If you do not unlock it, a warning message will appear on the cellphone the moment you put in a new simcard.
Detailed below are the instructions you'll need in order to unlock your Samsung Infuse 4G:
1. Insert a simcard from a different service provider and turn on the cell phone
2. the bottom part of the cell phone will display the message "phone locked". Touch the message with your finger and slide it upwards or off to the side.
3. On the next screen you are going to be asked to input the "Network lock control key". You may now enter in your unlock code. For those who do not have an unlock code, view the footer of this article for links on where to get one.
4. You should see a "Network Unlock Successful" message. Your cellphone is now unlocked.
Once your cell phone unlock code is entered and accepted, your phone is unlocked. Then you can put in any sim card from just about any carrier and the cell phone should automatically pick-up the network. Sometimes you might need to change certain options on the phone (email and other internet affiliated services) by way of pointing them to your new service provider.
