Up Close and Personal With the New Nokia C7
The current crop of new mobile handsets from esteemed manufacturer Nokia are being released with the latest version of the under rated Symbian operating system. The new C7 is one such model, which along with its great media facilities is sure to be a hit with consumers everywhere.
The 3.0 Operating system offered on this model brings some nice improvements to the consumer, as well as some new features which make the handset ever more attractive. Social Network integration is a key area on this model. The Social Live widget grabs all of the information you need from the likes of Twitter and Facebook, and displays it all together in one place, reducing the need for you to log into separate applications to view material. Synchronisation with your contacts list is also possible, meaning photographs and personal information can be automatically updated according to your friend's profile. Symbian offers the user an interface that comprises of three home screens, with each one easily customisable by the user. Holding down the home buttons easily activates the handsets multi-tasking features, giving you an easy overview of apps currently running. The C7 features some great e mail facilities. Up to 10 of your personal accounts can be supported by the phone, and push notifications means that you are updated of incoming messages instantly, reducing the need of logging in to check your inbox.
One area where the Nokia C7 really does excel is with regards to its looks. A combination of sleek lines and curves makes this phone a very attractive handset, and the choice of materials used in its construction also add massive benefits to the user. Thanks to the handset being largely made from stainless steel, the phone is not only durable, but feels well made and much more expensive than its price point suggests. At 130 grams, the phones weight is fairly similar to comparable models; however its slim depth of just 10.5 mm is particularly pleasing. This is thanks in part to the wafer thin AMOLED technology used on the screen. This display measure 3.5" and boast a range of colours which spans 16 million. Resolution wise the panel display a high quality image of 360 x 640, perfect for showing back high definition video you have captured on the phones video recording facility. Should you rather capture the moment in a picture, you will not be disappointed by the camera, which shoots in a resolution of 8 million pixels.
The Nokia C7 is being pitched slightly below the flagship N8 in terms of specification, meaning that this phone will be more appealing to the mass market thanks to a fine balance of price, specification and stylish looks.
