Up, Up And Away With Balloon Rides
Disney pixar has just released the new blockbuster film Up at cinemas around the
UK which essentially features a house which is attached to a lot of balloons which floats away to a more tropical location. The film takes people on a series of mystical balloon rides through South America.
What makes the film even more exciting for the audience is the introduction of 3D technology into the film, viewers at certain cinemas can view the film in full scale 3D thanks to the use of glasses, the balloon rides become essential scarily real.
The film has been hyped as something that will lead the Disney animation back to the big time after recent films have failed to deliver as much success as first hoped. It is also hoped that the film will lead many younger viewers to crave the need for balloon rides.
With people more likely to travel via plane than balloon rides in the year 2009 it appears that the new Disney pixar movie might be just the ticket the industry needs to jump start a return to dominance for the hot air balloon.
Of course 'Up' is not the first film that has featured a hot air balloon. Around the world in eighty days with Phileas Fogg back in the 1950's also managed to inspire a lot of children into taking hot air balloon rides. Even to this day a lot of adults look at taking the trip of a lifetime up into the skies following an adventure that was given to them from a long time ago.
Whether this latest adventure designed by the Disney pixar group will inspire a new generation of individuals to take to the sky is unsure, but the reviews of the film are certainly positive. A number of people have been leaving the cinemas ranting and raving about the latest animated classic.
It is testament to the advancements made in modern animation that the videos that children have to the option of watching today are so vibrant, colourful and entertaining. For younger generations the choice was more limited, there were no 3D options.
Disney has come a long way from creating such classics as the jungle book and lady and the tramp, but maybe more importantly their latest movie seems to have realigned the company at the front in the battle that is raging over animated videos and long may it stay there. The competition will have to get the helium balloons out to catch up with Disney.
