Virgin Media is signing up customers at a record pace for its new 50 MB download speed broadband package
. Although not fully implemented, the network within a network offered from Virgin Media is meant to curtail if not directly compete with BTs new Infinity network.
The BT Network which showcases FTTC, fibre to the cabinet technology is referenced at 40 MB download capability. Both of these systems ask the question of whether or not UK consumers need and desire the super fast internet without a phone line.
