We live in an electronic world. Debit and credit cards may be the norm for most transactions, but paper checks are just as necessary as they have always been - we just may not use them as often. The problem most seem to face is how to protect those checks from being damaged as we carry them through our day to day lives.

The little vinyl protectors that come with your checks when you get them from the bank may be adequate for a few days, but not for much longer. And now that we don't use checks as often as we used to, many times we wear out the vinyl protector before we even use up a book of checks. Leather is a much better way to protect those small pieces of paper we use to transfer money from place to place. We won't be able to do without checks for years to come. With the flexibility of many of the leather checkbook "systems" available, even when we do manage to convert totally to plastic, the ability to have all the conveniences of a quality checkbook cover, one that will help us keep track of our expenditures and credit/debit cards will outlast the checks by decades.
