But what if you have been in administration or in management for years? This is not really suitable. This is because it will not bring in enough income to start with and secondly it will not stretch you. You will become bored and frustrated. Your family life will suffer. The jobs that you had before are simply not around and out there. Companies are shedding middle management and administration jobs. They need to shrink to meet the reduced sales they are now making. If people tell you otherwise they are not living in the real world.

The job market is not going to pick up like before in any previous recession. So you cannot afford to wait around while looking at job vacancies. This is why you need to set up your other alternative additional income streams while you are still looking your jobsearch for other suitable jobs. The chances are even then you may have to move or travel some way when you get one.
