Most airports also have VIP sections that are dedicated to frequent travellers and do a lot to ensure that their checks in procedures are as comfortable and simple as possible. However, airport searches and security checks will always be a part of the routine irrespective of whether you are VIP or not. Considering how treacherous the scenario now is, especially after 9/11, an airport search is something that cannot be done away with no matter how important a person you are.

Most times you get out of the airport and need to start searching for transport to your next destination, which would either be home or the hotel if you are travelling. Most airports have hotels attached, which house not only their flight crew but also passengers that have missed their flights or those whose flights have been cancelled. These travellers are weary and often frustrated and so having the airport organize their stay for them or at least have it within arms reach makes all the difference.

While people travel with kids and teenagers a lot especially to and from family vacations, there are times when they spend a lot of time at the airport waiting either for transit flights or due to delays. And this not only improves the image of the airport but also defines the first experience a traveller has of a particular country.
