User Reviews - The Nokia 3600

For a long while, the Nokia phone was almost tied to the candy form factor

, and some staid and deliberate color. Maybe in a bid to avoid being named the 'candy bar form' company, Nokia began working on some other form factors since the last 2000s. Of course, there were some pretty enjoyable cell phones that came out of this type of experimentation by one of the most well known cell phone manufacturers. We look at the Nokia 3600.

Form Factor:

The Nokia 3600 was a slider that made it a different looking phone when it was first launched. It was an apparent attempt to veer away from the traditional designs and worked well. The slider phone slid well and felt strong enough, and had a unique 'click' sound when it closed - giving it a sleek and strong look and feel.

Colors:

The Nokia 3600 was available in two basic colors, one was the black and the other was the deep purple. Both these colors were in high demand when the device was released and there was the obvious shortage of the models in the deep purple color. The body was quite dust resistant and was not prone to scratches while using.

Screen:

The cell phone was a slider phone for a reason - and one of those reasons was the big screen that we got. The screen was bigger than many other cell phones in the market that were available in that price range. It was perfect was watching videos, using applications with a large UI and also was good as a music player UI. All in all, one looked forward to use the large screen in their day to day mobile usage.

Features:

The mobile phone had all the features that you would want in a budget cell phone and more. It was armed with a quite strong 3.2 MP camera with flash, which meant that you could take some pretty pictures even during night time - a concept that even many higher priced cell phone models do not understand today. However, the quality of the photos was not as satisfying as you would want, but it was great for a quick snap here and there.

Disadvantages of the Nokia 3600:

The Nokia 3600 is a firm and sturdy phone with quite some attractive uses to the common user. However, it did get hampered by the keypad that sometimes used get cradled into the keypad area and one would find it difficult to punch in the numbers. Another issue was the usage of GPRS. The cell would positive become hot if GPRS was used for a while and the battery would lose almost half of its charge with just ten minutes of web browsing.

All in all the Nokia 3600 provided a good experience to people who wished to have a cell phone that was less on price and high on features and services. It is still one of the better phones available in the market in the given price range.
