Using A Bladder Tank For Emergency Water Storage
A water bladder tank is a tank which contains a rubber bladder which is filled with water or air
. As you start to use water from the tank, the water pressure and the air pressure will get low and this pressure will send a current to the water pump which will start the pump and the water level will again come back to normal. The amount of electrical pressure will depend on the size of the tank and the size of the bladder.
How does a bladder tank work?
Since the water tank is connected to a water source, once the water level reaches certain level, the pressure on the air will decrease and the pumping system will automatically begin and the pump will start sending water into the tank once again. Every time the water level comes down, the pressure will start the switch automatically and you will have fresh water incoming into your tank.
Using a bladder tank for emergency storage
In case of a natural calamity or a fire or other manmade calamities, water plays a very important role in many different ways. If there is a fire, you will need to have a very strong water source you can depend on and if there is a flood or an earthquake, you will need plenty of drinking water which can be considered to be safe enough to use. Bladder tanks can be considered to be the best storage tanks for water in case of an emergency.
A bladder tank can be considered to be very good in case of emergencies where electricity has been disrupted and the usage of pumps can be considered to be impossible. Also, since some of these tanks are portable and collapsible, it becomes easier to transport and install in the areas where the necessity arises and where the water sources are easily available. The tanks come in different sizes and shapes and they can also be custom made in accordance with the kind of tanks you are used to work with in case of emergencies.
Of course, the bladder tank can also be used as a rain water collector and then the water can be reused whenever it is necessary. Therefore, if the situation allows for you to collect
water from a source which is not contaminated you can easily get these tanks installed and use the water whenever it is required.
