1- Neutrogena Healthy Skin with Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) is excellent for your skin. The AHA gently takes off the dead skin layers (over time, usually you can see results in a week or two). If you use this, you shouldn't exfoliate with a sponge or scrub... the AHA is enough.

If you want pure AHA, go to the official website and get the one on sale there. It's a great product that I use every day and it has evened my skin tone, gotten rid of my scarring, made my skin softer and prevented more zits. (the Neutrogena is great too and works the same but the one online is cheaper and doesn't have sunblock (so you can use it at night too).

Two things to know about AHA:

A. It stings and burns when you first apply it. Don't give up though! It lasts about 10-15 minutes after application and your skin gets used to it within a week. Don't put it near your eyelids.

B. It makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight. I wear oil-free sunblock during the day, at night I don't worry about it.

2- There is also this other remedy you can try out for your scars. Well, I'm very pale and get pink scarring. So, I'm not sure how it'll work on darker skin, but I also use this simple homemade remedy to get rid of scars: 1 tsp. nutmeg mixed with 1 tsp. lemon juice (You can use more. Just make sure it's balanced.)

Massage it onto your face and keep it on for about 15-20 minutes a day for a couple of days every week. I saw the scars fade (at this point, it was only a tiny amount. but still noticeable) by just the second use of it.
