Using Adsense On Your RSS Feed To Make Money With Your Blog

Your blog RSS feed can become another source of income for you when you add Google AdSense to it.

The AdSense program allows you to do more than just add advertising to your blog. You can use your domains (not discussed here!) and you can get advertising to appear on your RSS feed.

When you log into your Adsense account you will notice under My ads that you can add your blog feed to it make money with rss feed

When you do that and someone subscribes to your feed every time they receive your latest blog post it will contain a Google advert at the beginning or end of your blog post depending on which one you select.

The more subscribers you have the more chances of you earning an income this way.

If you write in a blog that relies on adsense income this is a great way to add to that income without having to do any extra work, you just keep on blogging as normal.

How to find your blog RSS Feed

The easiest way to find the RSS feed for your blog is to go to http://www.feedburner.com and add your blog domain name in there - it will automatically detect your feed url which is usually

http://www.yourblogdomainname.com/feed/

If you decide to use the feedburner service ( recommended as it makes your feed look neater and you go into their directory) you will end up with a feed that looks like this

http://feeds.feedburner.com/yourblogname

Once you have that link you simply log into your Adsense account, post your link in the feed section and they do the rest! Then continue blogging and every time your subscribers get your latest blog post it will contain an advert.

This is particularly great for 10 30 bloggers but not something I use on my authority blog feed. Of course how you use it is up to you.

Getting More Readers

Now that you have your RSS to hand why not add it to a few RSS feed directories. I use software for this process because it is too time consuming otherwise and you can buy one for under $35

I use Traffic Mania RSS Bot Software which at the time of writing this was $29.95

You add your RSS feed once and it is sent out to thousands of RSS directories in one go. I always add a new feed to this and update my feeds too. You can also create your own RSS feed so if you don't want to feedburner one create one that is made up from a name which suits you.

There are other RSS software submitters available - a search will find a few for you.

More readers means more eyeballs on your content which means more chances of someone clicking on an ad. Google are great at keeping the ads very relevant as long as your content is easy for them to read and the best way to do that is to include your keywords in your blog posts. This will also work best for you if you have set your blog up to make money in a profitable niche
