Using Effective Internet Marketing Systems For Small Businesses

It is of interest to consider what is the timeline for registering a brand new URL

. Any internet marketers say let it sit for a little while and draft effective internet marketing systems. The timeline has to do with how smooth your system is. Sometimes if you try and manage each of those, you're going to have it dripped out just based on the fact that it takes time to organize each one of the necessary stages.

So we're at a point now where we've got a pretty finely tuned system. But even still, I don't think we're ever going to be building links too quickly. We're not at a point where we've got enough assistance where it pops in the top, shoots all the way down and could happen within a week.

I'd say time frame wise, this will probably take a few months to probably get all the way through best internet marketing strategies, or at least a couple of months to get all the way through that.

These are just a couple of things that help with link building. A quick and easy way to find .gov and .edu links of your competitors is if you install something like SEO for Firefox. It gives you little options. You can just click .edu and .gov and it takes you to a version of Yahoo! Site Explorer that shows you just those links.

Second, sometimes Yahoo! Site Explorer seems to give a false impression of the number of links that you've got. There is a paid tool which I now use which is SEO SpyGlass. Somehow that gets around the thousand link limit on Yahoo! Site Explorer and it also draws links from a range of search engines. So you actually get to look at more of the site's links. You never get to see all of these internet marketing systems, it just doesn't happen, but it gives you a lot more to look at.

Also, open site explorer is useful. If you're an SEOmoz member, then you also get a similar view but it is based on their own crawl of the web. So it tends to be higher authority. There are not as many links but you tend to see the good links, so that is really good.

If someone had been getting the low hanging fruit, obviously it is easy. If you want to now change the strategy and go for the higher fruit so to speak don't let all the work you have done to date affect the ranking. You do not want that to keep dropping down in the rankings because you're changing strategy.

What I would do is firstly, make sure if you have already done your on page optimization, internet marketing systems and you have selected your keywords and you've already started link building, leave it be. Just start building new pages. There is nothing to say that you can't change the structure of your site slightly. Rather than having it in the top navigation, you might move that link now to the bottom of the page and then add that new page that you're trying to go after.
