. These days, there is no such thing as asking for light while sipping a cocktail at a club. One is asked to, "step outside" in all kinds of weather at all hours of the day, in order to smoke tobacco. It's a stigma.

How does an addicted smoker deal with such boundaries? In order to kick the habit, isn't easier to help him or her along instead of using punishment as a drastic measure? No one wants to feel like a child. And when one feels alone and treated like a criminal for lighting up, it causes more personal stress, which in turn, causes more smoking.

The electronic cigarette is a terrific solution to this issue. And the smoking ban does not stipulate that exhaling vapor (as opposed to tobacco smoke) is illegal. In fact, there is no law against the use of the electronic cigarette.

There are web sites that list businesses from bars and restaurants to stores and other public areas that encourage the use of vaping. In their sensible minds, if one wanted to smoke, isn't it better to let them use the healthier alternative? And since it does not produce the harmful toxins of second-hand smoke, there is no reason to ask any one person smoking the electronic cigarette to go outside, under the awning to do so. These web sites are easy to find and there are listings from country to state to city.

A lot of businesses however, do not understand the electronic cigarette because it is still rather new to the non-smoker contingency. It looks like a tobacco cigarette and it could smell like one (if one is choosing to vape a tobacco flavored liquid) but it is not as it is perceived my many. Therefore, it is important that anyone who prefers to smoke an electronic cigarette politely explain to others that the item is not toxic. And that it is safe in public places. Perhaps asking the manager of the business to educate him or herself on the product is not a bad idea either.

It's commendable for anyone to move from tobacco smoking to vaping. The rest of the world is just catching up and once the information is out there, the electronic cigarette will no longer be shrouded in mystery and confusion. Instead, it will be hailed as a life saving, healthier alternative to tobacco smoking.
