Anytime you are performing sales techniques which can affect a prospect's mind you should use extreme caution
. Hypnosis and mind control are powerful tools that can have far reaching effects on a person's consciousness and unconsciousness.
Remember that when you place suggestions or commands into a prospect's mind under hypnosis as part of your sales techniques you're speaking directly to their unconscious mind.
While a hypnotized prospect will not do anything they would not be willing to do under any other circumstance, their judgment is impaired and they may take actions based on the ideas you give them. This can have negative consequences if your sales techniques are not appropriate.
Your memory is also part of your unconscious mind. This means it can be easy to create false memories in a prospect. It is strongly recommended you avoid giving people false memories under any circumstances.
Even well intentioned attempts within your sales techniques to give the hypnotized prospect 'positive memories' could backfire. It is recommended that you not attempt to uncover buried memories through hypnosis except with the guidance of a professional.
Sometimes forgotten memories may be repressed ones, and without the aid of a professional these repressed memories could be overwhelming.
Any use of mind control in your sales techniques must be responsible. Encouraging a person to take actions that could hurt themselves or others is extremely irresponsible and of course is not what we want to achieve through our sales techniques.
While using mind control to leave a good impression on your prospect and help close a sale is reasonable, persuading a person to steal is certainly not. Again, it is true that a person will generally not commit actions that violate their moral character - however you have no way of knowing what actions they are willing to take with the proper pushing.

Remember that with mind control sales techniques you are not brainwashing the prospect to do your bidding, but instead are making the subject more agreeable to your suggestions.
Using hypnotic suggestion on a mentally ill person is incredibly dangerous, both for them and for you. Such a person may benefit from hypnotherapy by a professional. Your sales technique should bear this in mind as how will you know if your prospect is mentally ill?
If a friend or prospect asks you to help them with a problem through hypnosis always be sure you fully understand their mental background before you attempt any hypnotic suggestion.
