Cork Airport is in Ballygarvan, a southern suburb of the city, and is seen as a major gateway to all of southern Ireland. The harbour, the worlds second-largest natural feature of its kind, after Sydney, Australia, offers roll-on, roll-off ferry services to Roscoff in Brittany and Swansea, while new services to northern Spain and western France are also in the pipeline.
