Last year, when we went to Hiawatha National park, we stayed closer to a city away from downtown and caught up on some movies during our vacation.

Speaking of big cities, if you decide on searching Michigan hotels right downtown in a big city, don't be surprised when you're charged for your car having a vacation too. Not all Michigan hotels do this but, you have to pay for lodging (parking) of your car too in the big city.
