Valentines DaysI was really very excited. It was the first time in a long time that I had been on a "date". I was even more excited because the date was actually on the biggest date night of the year - Valentines Day. I normally get chocolates on Valentine's day and sometimes I even get flowers - paid and bought for by yours truly.
This year was different though, this was a real date, my first date in over eight years. It had taken me ages to get ready. Should I wear the black dress or the red dress or trousers? I called a friend of mine who said I should definitely go with the black dress and killer heels. She wished me good luck and after a glass of wine for dutch courage I ran to the waiting taxi. On the journey I thought about the night ahead. I knew very little about Graham.
He worked in the same building as I did but I didn't even know exactly what he did there. All I knew was that he was at least six feet tall, gorgeous and successful. Well I presumed he was successful because of the flash car he drove and the expensive restaurant were we dining that evening. The Fallen Angels was an Italian Restaurant located in an old chapel.
The altar served as the bar and the food was apparently sublime. The taxi pulled in at the Renault Brighton garage as the restaurant was located just on the opposite side of the road. I was meeting him at the bar at eight o'clock. I quickly checked my watch to make sure that I was fashionably late, took a deep breath to steady my nerves and headed inside to the sound of Andrea Bocelli playing in the restaurant.
