, to the ski jumping, there is nothing quite like being there to witness the winter Olympic games. This coming year, it's going to the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and we've got you covered. After all, you're not traveling to Vancouver just to see the Olympics, but also to see the city. So, here's a few cool things to see while you're in town for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics:

Stanley Park

One of the great things to see while you're in town for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics is definitely Stanley Park. This place is a mecca for tourists and the things to see include the sea wall, which goes all around the park. Not to mention the hiking trails and all the places where you can breathtaking pictures. It's truly a one of a kind experience.

Aquarium

The Vancouver Aquarium is located inside Stanley Park and is a family fun vacation in this sea side town.

The best time to go if you're not into crowds would be before 11:00 in the morning or after 3:00 in the afternoon. One of the coolest things to see here is the Beluga whale show. You can watch a whale swallow an entire bucket full of fish whole. You'll also wonder at the sea otters when the staff feed them and learn about the astounding 20,000 other species that the aquarium has to offer, including frogs seahorses and octopi.

A fairly unique feature of this aquarium are surround tanks where you can actually see the sea creatures up close and personal from both the top and bottom.

Gastown

When you're in town and looking for things to see while the Vancouver 2010 Olympics are happening, you simply must see Gastown. This is where it all began, over 100 years ago. The area is named for a local pioneer whose nick name was Gassy Jack, though his real name was Jack Deighton.

Gassy opened the very first hotel and saloon in the city and he was known for his cussing and strong arming of rivals.

As you might expect from a historic area, the streets here are paved in cobble stone. The area is also home to a great many antiques shops and art galleries, not to mention some incredible night life.

Whatever you plan to do while you're here for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, there is an abundance of things to see in this city by the sea.
