You always feel very good when you are talk of the class
, especially for a talent that everyone envies about. I was one of them and my class mates envies about my game. I'm a badminton player and I used to represent my state. Such a huge achievement by me in such a short span made me popular all over the campus. I'm not boosting about myself but I had certain benefits coz of it and I was sure that everyone would only care till the time I'm at top. One bad move from me and I stand to lose everything.
By God's grace I've managed to stay at the top and not get carried away by the stardom. I learned from some other's mistake. He was my senior and indeed a good player but he was very rude to all the new people who used to come for training. There was one day when we took a day off and all of us headed to panoramic water and amusement park. It was not a sponsored trip but our coach insisted all of us to join. I was a new addition to the team and along with three other kids it was our first outing with the team. Our coach made some arrangements with Panoramic Universal Ltd (PUL), the company that manages panoramic water resort, so we got the entry at much discounted rates.
It was the first time I came across the attitude of our senior player. He had already made groups and was planning to kick some of the new guys out of the club. For which he started literally teasing all of us and unfortunately for him one of us was short tempered. He literally pinned the senior down as he was powerfully built. The only wrong thing which the senior player did was that he underestimated us. This attitude and action of his also bought lot of wrath from our coach and he was expelled from the club then and there itself. He was in shock and was pleading profusely but all his plead fell in deaf ears. This gave me the lesson of life and it helped me to stay grounded.
