Piazza San Marco
This is the most impressive and dignified square in Venice which is dominated by the Doge's Palace and the Basilica of San Marco. In fact, this is the only square which is called a piazza. The most beautiful and amazing feature of Venice is the Campanile San Marco which is 91 meters high. This structure was built before the 1100s and reconstructed in 1902 after it had collapsed.
Grand Canal
The Grand Canal which is the largest canal in Venice is 70 meters wide and 3 km long. On the banks of the canal, situated are a number of famous buildings including the Accademia Gallery and the Grassi.
Sanata Maria dei Frari
This is a monumental church which contains a beautiful collection of artwork. This church is in gothic style and some of the famous pieces of artwork that can be seen here include a wooden statue by Donatello and the altarpiece of the Assumption by Titan.
Ca'Rezzonico
