They convince themselves that they need some fancy, expensive camera, a professional grade lighting set-up, and an industrial tripod. Well, the tools I'm about to share with you require only equipment you already have available.

"OK, but, I don't feel comfortable in front of the camera! I look really goofy, and I never know what to do with my hands!" Welcome to excuse number 2. Some people have a natural inclination for being filmed and admired. Most of us, however, are not too crazy with the idea of having hundreds, potentially thousands, of people see and hear us on tape. We feel we are too fat, too thin, too bald, too hairy, too unattractive, too beautiful, too, well you get the idea. We find any reason to become self-conscious and avoid the spotlight. In that regards I say "GET OVER IT!" But, while you do, how would you respond to a way of marketing through video without being seen. In fact, what if I told you there are absolutely no cameras involved in using the tools I'm about to outline?

Interested? Well, here it goes. The two tools are called "Jing" and "Animoto." Jing is screen capture software you download onto your computer and use to create either screen shots (pictures of your computer screen), or screencasts (live videos of your computer screen and the actions being completed on it). With this free software which you can downloaded from jingproject.com, you can even ad narration to the screencasts as you record them. There is a paid version, which is extremely inexpensive and offers more advanced options as well as longer recording time, but the free one will be enough to get you started. As for Animoto, this is a site which grabs images you upload and turns them into a very sophisticated slideshow. It even gives you the option to add music to your movie. With this particular tool, you don't even have to worry about how your voice sounds!

What other excuse do you have to not et started? Yes, video marketing, particularly if you are looking to brand yourself, is much more effective if you appear before the camera (which, by the way does not have to be expensive or fancy anyway), but while you get to the point where you feel comfortable enough to become the star of y our videos, why not get started with these tools? Even the brightest ideas are worthless if they are not implemented. So, don't waste any more time! Go to it right NOW!
