Video Splitter: Displays Images From A Single Input Across Many Output Display Devices
A video input from a single source can be simultaneously viewed on multiple display devices with the help of a Video Splitter
. Acting as a signal booster, these devices split the signals and replicate the same image on multiple devices without any loss in image quality. Compatible with NTSC, PAL or SCEAM signals, they are available in a variety of sizes including 2, 4, 8 and 16 ports and can also be daisy chained together for larger configurations. Amongst the many models available in the market today, the more popular ones include: Component and Composite Splitters, DVI, HDMI, S-Video, Quad screen, VGA and VGA Audio/Video Splitters; the only difference being in the type of signals which they relay.
Otherwise known as a Video Distribution amplifier, the most common version of which is the VGA Splitter and whereas the high end variant is the new HDMI version. Where the former connects VGA displays, the latter relays both audio and video over a single cable rather than over multiple cables and can split and distribute single HDMI video signals from sources such as set-top boxes, DVD players, D-VHS players and other HDTV devices to multiple HDMI video display units simultaneously. Compact in size, these devices work on simple plug and play principle. Control can be exercised using either push buttons on the front of the unit, via RS232 interface or through Infra red remote control.
This distribution amplifier has an in built signal booster which enhances the image quality indicating that all input devices are connected to separate output devices. It is also equipped with a LED that indicates the power status. The type of connection used to connect the source and display devices decides the distance of transmission. Working on simple plug and play functionality, these devices are easy to use and do not require a lot of time for installation. These units are also compliant with specifications laid out by FCC, CE and RoHS.
Ideal for situations where information from multiple sources needs to be displayed on a single screen, the Video Splitter finds its use in digital signage, remote monitoring and broadcasting, presentations, educational and training institutes along with commercial centers.
