Not too long ago our board of directors decided to award us with a paid for holiday in the Western Cape, this is my experience of Cape Town and some the wonderful things I did during my brief stay.
Upon my arrival at Cape Town Airport I requested a map so I could begin my journey to the Villa St James where we had recently been booked in.
It was a truly breathtaking venue that was once the home of the British Admiralty, the Greek royal family and the founder of the United Nations, Jan Smuts.
Quietly nested above the villa was a nature reserve dotted with exploreable caves and picturesque scenery .Ocean view landscapes accommodated the nature reserve providing an unforgettable and refreshing experience.
We as a group had a great time in the surrounding areas ,we paid a visit to Imhoffs farm where my colleague and friend Pat Stevens and I decided to take part in some camel and horseback riding, needless to say it was exhilarating and not for the faint of heart.
After returning to the villa, we enquired as to some of the other amenities in the area, and were informed of the Winelands in the vicinity and promptly decided to go wine tasting along the Constantia wine route, what a great experience.
I quickly found myself loving this place and was found myself wanting to get online and enquire more about the cape.
I quickly came to realize that there was not sufficient time for me to do all the things I wanted to in the given time frame and promptly decided that another holiday in the Cape was in order to experience some of the other truly majestic locations in this beautiful country.
I will always have the fondest memories of Cape Town and the beautiful people that reside within it.
