Vintage clothing is clothes that were made popular through previous era's

. Today, this would be something dated all way back to 1920 though the late 1980's. They are shirts, pants, tops and other clothing worn in that era. It's fun to mix your wardrobe with something from each one of those era's.

If you don't already have some of your own vintage clothing, that you kept in good shape and they still fit you, you can get them from a second hand clothing store or online. You can get them on eBay or on websites selling vintage clothing. It's really fun if you have something to wear from each one of the era's. Guy or girl.

The vintage shirts have changed so much throughout the years. Especially for the guys. In the 1950's men's shirts had short pointed collars. For dress shirt, they wore couplings. Among friends and drag races, they wore plain white T-shirts and jeans. They called them dungarees back in those days. They turned up the t-shirt sleeves to hold their pack of cigarettes. They wore either converse high top sneakers or penny loafers. Most of the dress shoes in this era, where loafers.

Going vintage for the 1940's is really cool. Women all wore cardigans, with the straight A skirt down to the knees. Sometimes they wore short jackets on top with them. They weren't wearing pants other then dungarees and overalls for yard work and the farm. They were mostly wearing skirts. For guy's vintage in the 1940's top hats were popular.

The 1960's were miniskirts and hip huggers. Back in the day of the flower children and flower power. The 1970's are when all classic jeans took effect that you still wear today, but some of them were bell bottoms. Polyester pants bell bottoms were popular then too. The 1970's vintage shirts were polyester. The 1980's were time of leotards, spandex and leg warmers.

Throughout the years, designers from all around the world, have taken something from the vintage era and revamped them for the current trend. Have fun and enjoy your clothes.
