Vishnu Mantra Uncovered

Mantras are religious Hindu script or poems or words written in Sanskrit language

. Mantra began in India with Vedic Hinduism and was later adopted by the Sikhs, Buddhists and Jains. Now-a-days these mantras are used in newer religions also.

Mantra can be of only one word like the famous and the largely magnified "OM" mantra. This word originally being A-U-M is really signifying the three gods that are very important in Hinduism. The three gods are Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, the constructor, destructor and the preserver.

According to Hinduism every god has his own unique duty and responsibility. Among them Lord Shiv is the eliminator, who eliminates everything after creation for best creation, Lord Brahma is the one who is responsible for creation, and he is the creator of the universe. According to the Hindu mythology, lord Vishnu is considered to be the preserver of all human beings. This Lord is also the husband of lord MahaLaxmi who is the goddess of wealth, reputation, beauty and wellness.

Lord Vishnu is considered as an important part in Hindu religion. According to Hindu manuscripts, the lord has taken incarnations in the world in the Dwapar, Satya and Treta era of time. In this Era which is known as kali, Vishnu is yet to take incarnation.

In fact Vishnu has taken birth in this world and has helped mankind by eliminating evil people and evil thoughts. In his birth as lord Krishna he killed the king Kansh and relieved the people whom King Kansh has oppressed. During his incarnation as Ram, lord Vishnu kills Ravan and relieves the community.

A Hindu devotee when have to pray to lord Vishnu for his greatness and ask some favor from him can pray many different slokas or short poems written to praise lord Vishnu.

The Vishnu Mantra is sung to Lord Vishnu in order to get favor from him. Here the devotee bows to the lord who is thought to be the master of the universe. Vishnu is thought to be very peaceful. From his navel, a very profound and exuberant lotus with infinite creative power breaks up. This Supreme Being is the one who rules the universe and help it grow with enormous power.

Lord Vishnu is also the one who is the supreme of the sky. Lord Vishnu is supposed to be dark as the clouds and also has a beautiful form.
