By volunteering you get to see a little more of the world
, and live and learn with people from all kinds of cultures. Some people have assumptions that volunteer work should only be associated with words about "charity" or "selflessness", but volunteering abroad is an experience meant to improve the overall human condition. Volunteering is not about any one task you can accomplish, or the amount of time you spend helping others. A little bit of help will not change the world, but it changes an individual's perception of the world.
