Kenya is renowned the world over as a land of national parks

, where wild animals roam freely and abundantly. Because of this and many other natural surroundings, tourists flock in thousands to Kenya. Despite this growth in tourism, trade, commerce and other technological advancement, poverty still lingers ubiquitously in Kenya. The slums of Nairobi are one of the largest in Africa, people still succumb to treatable diseases, and HIV/AIDS continues to unabated to kill people. Kenya has been hampered by political problems also. The tribal alliance still impedes development and cross-cultural activities, and the recent political unrests have most been linked to tribal loyalties. Despite all this, Kenyan people are one of the friendliest in the world. Tourists are welcomed with open arms and made to feel at home. Good infrastructures have also been developed all around the country to support boast tourist arrivals. The infrastructures of Kenya are something the neighboring countries greatly envy. All this makes Kenya an ideal destination to volunteer. The orphanages of Kenya are overflowing with orphaned children and there is very little help from the government to them. Our volunteers can teach English to children, and provide them care and love. Through volunteers help, many children feel loved, get confident and go on to achieve bigger things in life.

Many volunteers in Kenya also teachers English in resource poor schools. English is one of very important languages in Kenya and without the knowledge of it, children often wont be able to enroll in good universities and later secure good jobs. Our volunteers will help local teachers and hold debates and discussions to improve the English of the children. Volunteers, if they want, have also taught other subjects in the schools, and become involved in extra-curricular activities with the children. The other volunteer projects in Kenya are Health Project, where medically trained volunteers or medical students can work alongside local doctors and nurses to treat poor Kenyans, and HIV/AIDS volunteer project, that uses a holistic approach to spread the awareness against the disease and is gaining in popularity because of the successes it has had.

Volunteers in Kenya often combine safaris to Masai Mara and other national parks along with their volunteer work. While volunteering, they stay with Kenyan host families and gain a deeper understanding of Kenya culture. Through all this activities, our volunteers will have a richer and vastly different experience of Kenya than what an ordinary tourist will. It will also enrich volunteers life and leave them with unforgettable memories.
