Vw To Become Worlds Biggest Car Maker This Year
It is no secret that the VW group wants to become the worlds number one car producer
. The chiefs at VW had set a target of 2015 to move up from third to 1st, overtaking General Motors and top place Toyota. A report in the Financial Times suggests it will achieve the target four years early and be crowned the worlds largest car producer this year.
JD Power has predicted that the Volkswagen Group would have sold 7.8 million units by the end of this year; General Motors would have sold 7.2 million and take 2nd place. Volkswagens jump from 3rd to 1st place can be accredited to an increase in number of VW cars sold in China, where it is the bestselling car brand. Volkswagen has built two new car plants in China in a 5.3 billion plan to double production to three million cars by the year 2014 and introduce more

Here in Europe Volkswagen has experienced better than expected sales, with an 8% increase in sales. VWs US penetration is also taking shape well, with US consumers and media accepting VW models well.
VW chiefs also made it public that they wanted to be producing 10 million cars a year by the year 2018, now though they have revealed that this target may well be achieved within the next 3 years a whole 3 years ahead of schedule!
With the new Volkswagen up! Being released it is bound to see a lot of reviews becoming available soon. This car is entering the market with high hopes from Volkswagen. They look at the new car taking the market by storm and fitting in nicely with their new ranges at the moment. Obviously the world famous and incredibly popular Volkswagen Golf and Volkswagen Polo may not be rivalled at a massive standard but the up! does offer something slightly different to these models. With the hopes of test drives being available for this new model people will be able to put it through it paces and see whether it will be something that suits their lifestyle.
New models from VW have helped attract new conquest business; the VW Up, the new Beetle, new Audi A1 and SEAT Leon have all been great ambassadors for the VW Group.
