The series stars Michael C. Hall as Dexter. Dexter is a loving dad, husband, and has a career as a forensic scientist. More importantly Dexter has an addiction to murder. In the series dexter is a serial killer who lives a double life. However, unlike most serial killers he only kills people who he thinks "deserves" it. These people are usually criminals and other murderers. Since Dexter comes from a line of serial killers he has a set of rules passed down from his father. Dexter follows those rules with great diligence.

When you're enthusiastic about watching an episode Showtime provides the first episode of the season. The end of the episode ends on a huge cliffhanger that we're positive we'll make you addicted. As for the critiques, dozens of people reviewed the fourth season of Dexter and it managed to average a four of five star rating. The positive critiques come from people who have been long time fans of Dexter. A few of the unfavorable critiques include people who think that the fourth season just doesn't stay up to it's hype.
