The engagement is set and the ring has been chosen. To make sure the wedding band is a perfect match, go to Scanlon Jewelers in Williamsville, NY.

With nine talented and artistic jewelers on staff, Scanlon Jewelers can design and create a band that complements the bride's engagement ring. They'll start with a drawing and create a wax rendition at no charge. When the design is finally chosen, the desired metal will be cast to make the unique, one-of-a-kind ring, hand polished, finished and set to perfection. All the steps of this service are made under one roof by a skilled team of designers, artists, gemologists, goldsmiths, and setters.

"We have a lot of people's ideas to drawn from," says President Todd Scanlon. "Whether it's modern or old-fashioned, our artists have their own style."

Scanlon Jewelers is a full service jeweler, one of the largest in Western New York that provides such a service. Service is their mission, and shopping for jewelry should be stress free with fair prices and great quality, Todd says. Their specialties also include custom jewelry, repair work, and wholesale diamonds.

Scanlon's staff of twelve is entirely Buffalo born, their dedication has kept them in the area.

"We are a people town," Todd says, referring to business in Buffalo. "When you do a good job, everybody finds out about it. We are a big city with small town graciousness."

Scanlon Jewelers believes all brides are special, and that's the way they treat them.

"We make the rings the last thing you have to worry about and the first thing you look forward to," Todd says.

The careful process of creating custom jewelry is an artistic labor of love. We are equipped to translate your passion and vision into a stunning piece of jewelry that will bring joy for years to come. We are a full-service jeweler with a staff of goldsmiths, diamond-setters, artists and a graduate gemologist on the premises. No job is too small or too complex.

The process begins with a creative session with your sales consultant and one of our artists. Here is where your idea, with the assistance of our experience, begins to take shape on paper.

After the drawings have been completed with your input and final approval, special wax molds are made. The mold is a scale model of what the jewelry will look like. It is the final opportunity to make any changes or minor modifications to the design. This "proofing" process is essential to assuring that expectations are met and complete satisfaction is achieved.

Next, the wax mold is encased in plaster. The plaster hardens and is then heated releasing the now molten wax. Finally, the desired metal is centrifugally injected into the new plaster mold. After carefully monitored cooling, the plaster is removed revealing the metal casing. This is followed by finishing, hand polishing and setting. Your custom jewelry is made lovingly by some of the country's top artisans who have dedicated their professional careers to the rare skill of custom jewelry making.

The end result is the finished ring, a true custom showpiece - the physical manifestation of your original vision.
