Want To Know Where You Can Buy Cheap Designer Clothes?
With everything from food to energy prices increasing day by day it is important that you save money where you can
. One of the best items to save money on is the clothes you buy. In the past clothes have been relatively cheap but they are increasing in price and if you want to buy designer clothes you will have to pay a high price for it. Another problem is the lack of variety available on the high street. If you are the person who wants to look different with your own sense of style you will need to look elsewhere.
A great place where you can pick up designer clothing at a fraction of the cost and create your own individual wardrobe is the clothes charity shop. That is right, second hand clothes. Charity shops are back in fashion and it is not uncommon to find your local celebrity in one trying on clothes. It is ironic that many of the designer styles that you can pay up to thousands of dollars for have been influenced by what you can buy in the charity shops.
If you have never shopped in a charity shop before here are a few tips to get you started:
Tip One:
If you are unsure about where to begin then, start small. Look for the accessories like scarves, jewellery, hats etc. You will be surprised by what you can pick up. Many of the clothing that is donated to the charity shops are from the elderly. This means they are usually made of very high quality and will last. They will also look quite stylish with a vintage look that is always popular on the high street.
Tip Two:
Be patient. You will probably need to visit your charity shops on a regular basis to find the item you are looking for as the shops receive new donations on a weekly basis. Look for items that use quality fabric such as fine wool, silk, satin, leather and cashmere.
Tip Three:
If an item is expensive it usually means that it is a quality piece. You will know by checking it out. If you are not too sure and you feel it is too expensive then, remember that the money you pay for it will be donated to a worthy cause.
Tip Four:
Many people are put off by thinking that clothes in charity shops are shabby and worn out. However, this works in your favour because this means there will be bargains available to you. Even though the clothes may not look great on the hangar they can look great on you. If in doubt go to the changing room and try it on.
Tip Five:
Unless you are desperate avoid the second hand underwear.
