Something happened to get the hamster that's running your husband's brain to get knocked off his wheel but that part is over. Follow these tips to oil up the axis and get everybody thinking straight once again.

Step 1: When He's Ready: Guys can be stubborn and pretty hard to unset from their ways. If you make him come back too soon, he'll resent you and feel trapped. The key in getting him to come back is to wait him out until he's ready to do so. You can do things on your end though to push that timetable along.

Step 2: Do Your Part: Unless your husband just simply snapped and went AWOL, there's probably two sides of why your marriage is struggling. While the hubby is away, take the time to reevaluate yourself in an honest light and identify areas you could improve for the future.

Step 3: Be The Strong Half You'll hold the strength if you indeed become the powerful side of the relationship. Don't beckon to his every call but don't be a total witch either. Make strong, smart decisions in regards to getting back together and stand by them.

Step 4: Make Him Think He's Not Needed: Nothing will burn a guy more than if he says to his buddies, "She'll never make it without me" and then they drive by the house and you're out reshingling the roof by yourself. Take some classes or research online things you can do on your own that you'd normally have to beg for him to do...after the game.

Step 5: Appear Content: Even if you're hurting, don't lead on to it. The odds are your husband will eventually try to open up the communication lines and when he does, don't fawn over him and thank him for calling, simply act satisfied, content, and on the right path.

Step 6: Make It His Move If you're the one that asks or begs him to come back, he might hold that over your head whenever struggles arise in the future. Do your part and wait for him to make the move. You can nudge him along in this step with some playful flirting or a sexy new v-neck.

Step 7: Two-Party System: Now that you've both confirmed the other fish in the sea are all dead tuna, make an effort to work hard to strengthen your marriage. Being boyfriend and girlfriend is sometimes a walk in the park but all marriages are going to need some maintenance 5, 15, and hopefully 45 years down the line.
