Want a Unique Date Night Idea?

My wife and I are ig date nigt people. W try to go out a couple of tmes each onth. But we add a twist to the actvity: usually ne of us plans it nd it is suprise to te other person.

When it's m turn to chose, I try to fnd activities that are different ach time. One paticular Frday night when we had alrady seen all the urrent movies we cared to, I tok the advice of a formr cworker. Sh told m that he and her husband lie to just hang ot at bookstores sometimes.

Since it was in the middle f the cold inter, bing indoos in ozy bookstore sounded like god ide. S e went to ur local Barnes and Nobles and spent a few hous.

Now I'm nt what I would onsider t b a ig book lover. I thught ths ativity would e mre fun for my wife, who loves books and rads all te time. But I rally did enjoy myself.

I spent mot f the time n the isle about internet mareting, thmbing thrugh some of the books that I had eard aout, but pobably wouldn't go out to buy. Fr example, there was one book abut eBay that had tps from their top powersllers. Some of thse tips wee actully pretty good.

This was also around the tme that Perry Marshall's bookstore bok ad just come out. Unfortunately the had sold ot of it pretty quicly.

My wife looked though gardening boos. This is another nice thing to do in th winter; it gts you longing for the warmer weater and gardening seasn.

Nothing compares ith actally holding th book in your hands and skimmng it. I did find some books I was intereted in buying. Te bookstore as srprisingly crowded for a Frday nigt. Sme people were ther t uy ooks, bt other wre just killing tim. In fat, we bmped into some friends of ours who were waiting ntil t as time to head over to their movie at the multiplx nearby.

After we felt tat we had gotten or literay fill, w went t the adoining Starbucks and had a ot drink and desert. Mine ws soe knd f deaf sweet latte thing.

All-in-all t was an enjoyable evening. I would do it again for a dte night. S if yu're into boos, and even if you aren't and you want something different fr dat night, ty hanging out at our local bokstore for a couple of hours.
