And due to this problem, doctors always advise their patients to have the drug when standing in an upright position and also with a glass of water. Though the drug is not known to have many side effects, there is a rare side effect which can occur with this drug. One can suffer osteonecrosis of the jaw. This causes the patients to undergo dental treatments which put the patient through a considerable amount of pain and trauma.
