Warm Paint Colors For Your Rooms
Redecorating your house is something that requires patience and good mood in order
to create the right atmosphere that would make you feel comfortable in your own "nest". If you don't have the possibility to ask the opinion of an expert, or you simply don't trust anybody else enough in order to let the decoration of your house in his/ her hands. Nevertheless, if you want to be in charge, you should be informed on the possibilities and opportunities you have.
The very first thing you have to start with when redecorating is choosing the right color to paint your rooms. This decision is crucial because the color has a great impact on our mood. Therefore, some information on the color psychology is very important in order to set the appropriate mood for your indoor space. Most people are not really aware of how much colors affect the visual proportion of their rooms and they tend to choose their favorite colors. The do not realize that they don't choose a color for a blouse or a shirt, but a color for their environment.
Some of the most popular colors to be chosen for interiors are the warm and sunny colors. But are these appropriate for all the rooms? The answer is: not really! As we all know, warm colors are: red, orange, yellow, brown, pink, and, sometimes, even purple.
Red, for example, is a very powerful color, as it rises up the blood pressure, stimulates activities, is very energizing and increases appetite. You don't want to be very active when you're in your bedroom, because there you need to chill out and have a good rest. Therefore, although cheerful, bright sunny colors are not to be used for painting the dorms.
Most people tend to choose warm colors for their rooms because they tend to provide the visual impression of wider space. Nevertheless, we should be aware of the fact that, although warm, these colors also need to be light and bright so that they won't fatigue the eye. Buttery shades of yellow, for example, are easier to live with for a longer period of time, than the intense shades of bright red. Red is known to increase the appetite, which explains why it is used so often in restaurants, and for a formal dining room. Melon, tangerine, and yellow-orange mango also tend to improve appetite, which is why it appears so often in kitchens, breakfast nooks, and dining rooms. They convey a comfortable feeling.
Nevertheless, light, bright and warm colors are very useful for usually small dark rooms, as they make them look larger and people are, generally, in a good overall mood.
