To prevent consumers from getting stuck with a fast-depreciating vehicle, Kelley Blue Book (KBB) conducts the annual "Best Resale Value Awards" to help consumers identify brands and models that have the highest residual value.

The 2011 "Best Resale Value Awards" identified ten models and two brands as overall best resale value award winners as well as one winner in 18 categories. Two Lexus models were named overall award winners, the 2011 Lexus GX and the 2011 Lexus RX, and the 2011 Lexus IS was named the best resale value winner in the almost luxury' category.

Of the limited vehicles that were chosen as award winners, it should come at no surprise that Lexus landed three of the spots as the automaker was named the brand with the best resale value for last year's awards. Best brand is a top honor for these awards and is a good indication that, whether on the market for a new or used car, Warren residents can't go wrong with a Lexus.

If considering a used Lexus, Warren drivers can visit their local dealership to test drive the 2010 RX 350 which received the award in the luxury utility vehicle category at last year's "Best Resale Value Awards". The RX 350 was redesigned for the 2010 model year and features a more spacious interior, a sleeker exterior and a more powerful performance.

Also recognized at last year's awards was the 2010 IS, which received a category win in the almost luxury' category. The IS has occupied a spot in the awards dating back to 2001 which KBB professionals have attributed to the car's comfortable ride, solid engineering and stylish design.

Many consumers have been taking advantage of the numerous deals and incentives that have been popping up for new cars instead of opting for a used car. Warren residents who take this route can look at previous "Best Resale Value Awards" winners which are often good indicators of a current model's depreciation rate.

With a reputation like Lexus's which was founded on manufacturing high-quality vehicles, it's easy to see why they continue to grace KBB's "Best Resale Value Awards".
