This works by letting the chemical to react with the skin and causing it to be irritated, then when the immune system reacts, it will try to remove the outer layer of the skin, and thereby making the wart to fall off. However, Salicylic acid is a harmful chemical so take extra caution when applying it. It can cause irritation and may also damage your healthy skin. The medication takes time for you to see some results, depending on the wart, it may take from several weeks to several months of application. Read and follow the directions in the label carefully or it is better if you consult first your physician before starting with this medication.
