A lot of do-it-yourself car care enthusiasts have a hard time cleaning their own glass. No matter how meticulous they are, they find that once they see their glass in direct sun, they can see a lot of streaks and smears.

The key to doing this correctly is to use two separate towels. One towel should be moist with automotive grade glass cleaner. Moist, but not wet. Drape a towel over your left shoulder. You should carry a second towel, preferably made from waffle weave microfiber, that you keep on your right shoulder.

Now take a moist towel and wipe it around the perimeter of the window that you are working on. You should create a box that frames the entire window and ensures that you have pushed for towel into every corner of its surface. Now wipe in the middle of the box. Once you are certain that you have wiped your moist towel on every square inch of the window, including deep into the corners, you can proceed to dry out the fine amount of glass cleaner that is sitting on the surface of the glass.

Using your dry towel you will now in a very tight circular motion dry up the fine mist of glass cleaner that has been applied with your first towel. Ideally you will want to perform this in sunlight and not in the shade so that you can spot imperfections.

So remember to clean your class with two towels, one wet and one dry. It goes very quickly, and the results are clearly perfect.
