Country Strong movie was shot in Nashville, Tennessee, and is about a famous country singer named Kelly Canter (played by Gwyneth Paltrow) who was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct and had to be thrown into rehab. Her husband and manager Ed (played by Tim McGraw) puts her back on track with the singer-songwriter Beau Hutton (played by Garrett Hedlund) and beauty queen turned singer Chiles Stanton (played by Leighton Meester). Beau eventually gets interested in Kelly and, they had a romantic entanglement in the "resurrection tour" that Ed produced.

Gwyneth Paltrow did all her singing for the film and, added the twang in her speaking lines as well an aspect that got her 2 thumbs up feedback in one review of the Country Strong movie. She traded her slick and sassy style for checkered polo shirts and boots in some parts of the movie to get that authentic country feel. And, she had to learn how to play the guitar and took some singing lessons to do justice to the songs that she had to sing. The Country Strong cast has lived up to the challenge of portraying their respective roles as well. Leighton Meester goes country in this movie, leaving her New Yorker style in Gossip Girl. Tim McGraw, a chart topper, leaves his singing career to showcase his acting talent in the movie. And, last but not least, Garrett Hedlund flaunts his enchanting singing voice in this wonderful movie. The cast of the movie performed and sang their songs something that created yet more buzz about the music of Country Strong.
