If you've seen the movie trailers, you probably think the movie is about two super aliens, Megamind and Metro Man. In reality, the movie is mostly about Megamind (hence the name of the movie). The movie starts off with the story of Megamind and Metro Man being sent to Earth from their respective home planets in a time of crisis. Metro Man eventually grows up to become a popular superhero while Megamind turns into a super villain. The movie reminds me of the Superman storyline. Metro Man is a facsimile of Superman (who was sent to Earth from Krypton when he was a baby). Megamind is essentially a combination of Lex Luthor and Brainiac 5 (who is green instead of blue). The reporter and love interest in the movie, Roxanne Ritchi, represents Lois Lane. The film even implies Metro Man's weakness is copper (Superman's weakness is kryptonite).

Megamind (the main lead role in the movie)is an evil mastermind set on taking over Metro City, but repetitively defeated by local Superhero Metro Man. After Megamind unintentionally kills Metro Man during an evil-scheme-gone-wrong, he discovers that life without his arch-rival just isn't the same. When you watch Megamind online movie review, you will make out that in order to bring back the thrill to his life, Megamind endeavors to craft a new superhero that will exceed even Metro Man, but once again things don't go according to plan.
