Most people imagine the book series when they hear the phrase Quite Little Liars, and they wouldn't be wrong. The books introduced this intriguing story on the public, but it wasn't intended like that.

Originally, Alloy Entertainment, although they themselves are a good book packaging company, wanted to sell the rights about what was originally intended to provide a TV show to article writer Sara Shepard in 2006, in support of after the whole series had opted to print, did it choose the popularity that it found it necessary to make it's way into TV. It was created and published by HarperTeen between 2006 and 2010, along with the books, in order, were Pretty Little Liars, Faultless, Perfect, Unbelievable and Awesome.

In response to its success, the story in it's original form (TV script) was picked up by ABC Family for the 10-episode first season, that is again, due to the success for the show, promptly extended another 12 episodes to round there are various 22-episode first season.

The story itself is mostly a simple one (for those well-versed in the genre of child drama, at least), in addition to revolves around a clique involving girls who's friendship fell apart when their director, if you will, faded away mysteriously. Her name was initially Alison, and when girls start receiving messages by somebody calling herself "A", and as those messages start likely to expose their darkest insider secrets (the ones they imagined only Alison knew), things will heat up. While the critical assessments were mixed (the show isn't geared towards pleasing them, after every, but rather 12-16 year-old girls) the particular show cleaned up during this year's Teen Choice Honours.

Each of the girls has her own unique personality and struggles with her own personal conflict. Hanna, who was chubby before, became the ultra-modern "it" girl in classes after Alison disappeared. But as being the series develops, she reconciles with the girl's old friends and becomes less curious about being popular. Committed and loyal are the words that would top describe Emily. When a different family moves into Alison's an old home, Emily befriended the daughter on the new residents and realizes that the girl with attracted to this brand new girl. Spencer comes by a wealthy family and is depicted being an overachiever. She is constantly compared and it's living under the shadow of her older daughter Melissa. After spending 1 year in Iceland, Aria and her family move here we are at Rosewood. Her father had an affair with his student which Aria is aware of and is keeping it all from her mother. Aria found herself inside a similar situation with her dad when she became romantically involved with her Ezra Fitz (played by way of Ian Harding), her brand new English teacher.
