A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence. A priest (Stephen Campbell Moore), a grieving knight (Ulrich Thomsen), an itinerant swindler (Stephen Graham) and a headstrong youth who can only dream of becoming a knight (Robert Sheehan) join a mission troubled by mythically hostile wilderness and fierce contention over the fate of the girl. When the embattled party arrives at the abbey, a horrific discovery jeopardizes the knight's pledge to ensure the girl fair treatment, and pits them against an inexplicably powerful and destructive force.

Starring Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman, Stephen Graham, Claire Foy, Stephen Campbell Moore, Robert Sheehan and directed by Dominic Sena.Let's face it, we kinda knew that Dominic Sena's "Season of the Witch" had the makings of a really, really bad Nicolas Cage movie, even by the standards of Nicolas Cage movie. But still I held out hope until now. Here are two clips from the movie that pretty much assures you that this thing will be hilarious, even though I'm sure that wasn't the intention. The first clip, from IGN, has Cage and Ron Perlman fighting in the Crusades and seeing who can get the most kills so they won't have to pay for drinks later; the second clip features evil wolves that can morph their faces into, er, evil-er looking wolves. Honestly. Yeah. I think Hollywood needs to realize that just because Cage insists on being in every movie he can get, it doesn't necessarily mean they should give it to him.
