Directed and written by Steven Silver, check out the new trailer for THE BANG BANG CLUB. The movie is part of the Tribeca Film Festival's Special Screenings. The 10th edition of the Festival will take place from April 20 to May 1 in lower Manhattan.

The Bang Bang Club: This is based on a true story about four photographers who are working in South Africa during the apartheid. They soon became good friends. the bang bang club" was the name given to four young photographers; greg marinovich (ryan phillippe), kevin carter (taylor kitsch), ken oosterbroek and joao silva, whose photographs captured the final bloody days of white rule in south africa. Two were awarded pulitzer prizes for their acclaimed work. The film tells the special and noteworthy and on occasion harrowing story of these young men and the phenomenal extremes they went to in order to capture their pictures.

Anna (malin akerman) is their photo-editor, who looked out for them, protected them and made certain their photographs were seen around the planet. Based on the book by marinovich and silva, the bang bang club tells the unfeigned story of these four young men, recounting their relationships with each other and the stresses, tensions and moral dilemmas of working in situations of ultimate tempest and violence, pain and suffering. It is also the story of the final demise of apartheid and the birth of a new south africa.

Four combat photojournalists document the end of apartheid in South Africa, a turbulent period marked by brutality and anger. This real-life drama is based on a memoir by Greg Marinovich (Ryan Phillippe) and Joao Silva (Neels Van Jaarsveld), who won Pulitzer Prizes for their work. Along with Ken Oosterbroek (Frank Rautenbach) and Kevin Carter (Taylor Kitsch), the group exposes the tragic violence that spawned a new regime in the country. The Bang Bang Club is a high ranked watched film in todays world.
